Biz Beat: Sayville, B-BP Students on the Menu at a Local Restaurant

A local eatery highlights high school students and community achievements.

Sayville and Bayport-Blue Point High School students are in the spotlight at a local Applebee's with huge colorful floor-to-ceiling photo collages highlighting local students and community organization members.

“Applebee’s is an important part of Patchogue and the surrounding neighborhoods and our colorful new photo murals reflect that,” said General Manager Matt Czachor. The Patchogue Applebee, located on the north service road of Sunrise Highway, is operated by Doherty Enterprises.

In keeping with Applebee’s “hometown” theme, the stars of the full-color wall art are students from neighboring high schools and other local heroes. Photos depict students and athletes from Sayville and Bayport-Bluepoint high schools as well as members of the local police and ambulance squad and students from St. Joseph’s and Briarcliffe colleges.
