A Peek at the Pump: Find Out Where the Cheapest Gas is in Town

Patch offers up a quick and easy way to check local prices.

You may not have noticed, given all the talk about the fiscal cliff and the last minute vote as the new year dawned, but gas prices are a bit jumpy lately.

The day after Washington lawmakers averted what some say was fiscal devastation, the price of fuel jumped, according to a AP news story at Yahoo.

The next day the price declined, according to this Time article, but market watchers expect oil barrel prices to continue to fluctuate as economic issues continue.

So Patch thought it'd be a good idea to give readers an idea of where the cheapest gas can be had around town.

As of Sunday morning Hess in Bayport and OK Petroleum, at Middle Road and Foster in Sayville, boasted the lowest price of $3.699 for regular fuel.

Valero in West Sayville and the two Unbranded stations in Bayport are selling regular for $3.779 and BP in Blue Point was at $3.799.

Readers can check daily prices (rounded off) right on Patch on our handy Gas Prices module by clicking here.

I heard it was a bank some time ago, but I can't imagine which bank would run a construction projectRead More so poorly.
