#94 – Grab a Burger and Enjoy the View

The Five Points Cafe is a great option for dining and people-watching.

The officially opened its doors in February but now that the weather is starting to warm up, it’s an ideal locale for grabbing a bite to eat and watching the activity on Main Street.

Nestled on the corner of Railroad Avenue and Main Street, the new eatery features more than just burgers – it also offers the perfect view. With an outside patio, diners can get a real taste of Sayville while enjoying their meal.

Here’s some of the menu options. For starters, there’s buffalo wings, spinach & artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks, French onion dip & chips, chili and sliders. Sandwiches include a grilled or Cajun chicken, a classic reuben and BLT. There’s a nice selection of salads that range from grilled chicken to salmon or fresh ahi tuna.

Burger choices start with the classic available with or without cheese or bacon. There’s also a veggie and chicken burger offered. There’s a Buffalo burger, as well as a Steakhouse burger featuring blue cheese, onion straws and horseradish sauce. One popular choice is the Downtown burger, which consists of  blue cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. There’s also plenty of burger-friendly sides as well as milkshakes in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee and cookies & cream flavors.

On May 17, the restaurant is offering a food and beer pairing experience at 7 p.m. The four course menu offers a sampling of options and each course is paired with a Blue Point Brewery beer selection. The cost is $45 per person and also includes raffles and giveaways.
