UPDATE: T-Storm Warning Now a Weather Advisory
Weather service still expects some rain and high wind this evening.
Mid afternoon the National Weather Service had issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Suffolk County until 4:15 p.m.
That warning has now been pulled though the service said high winds and intermittent storms are possible into the evening.
A strong line of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and heavy rainfall was spotted by the NWS at 3:15 p.m. moving toward the south shore area at roughly 30 mph.
NWS warnings also note the possibility of cloud to ground lightning and large hail being associated with these storms.
