Car Crash Topples Utility Pole In Bayport
Car vs. pole results in no injuries though pole is severely damaged.
An early morning crash Thursday, just west of Bayport Avenue on Montauk Highway, took down a large utility pole right in front of Aladdin Fuel with no reports of injury to the driver, according to workers in the area. Montauk Highway was closed off from Bayport Avenue to Snedecor from about 7 a.m. on as workers began replacing the damaged pole. Aladdin Fuel suffered building damage as utility wires were ripped from its building.
