Better Luck Next Year

The Sayville High School varsity football team lost to Huntington in the Suffolk County Championship held at Stony Brook University.

On a blustery, sometimes snowy night the Golden Flashes fought to the end but missed some opportunities to possibly tie the game late in the fourth quarter. Their last chance to tie ended with an interception in the endzone as Huntington ran it out 76 yards and then took a knee to seal the 26-18 victory.

Huntington will now face Lawrence for the Long Island championship next Saturday.
