Sayville School District Security Project Begins

District buildings will have security stations, more cameras.

As parents and students get ready to head back to school local school districts are putting the finishing touches on repair and renovation work and, in the case of the Sayville school district, embarking on an ambitious security effort.

The project will include installing security stations at all buildings, key fobs so doors can remain locked, video monitored buzz-in systems, and doorway and exterior cameras.

This project is scheduled for completion by March 2014. Some enhancements are already in place, according to school officials.
