Tis the Season to Learn About Witches at Sayville Library

Learn about LI's witchcraft trial.

With Halloween just two weeks away, and American Horror Story's current series Coven all about witches, it's clearly the witching hour to learn more about witches and the Sayville Library is doing just that this week.

A program Wednesday night, Long Island Witchcraft, focuses on the most famous American witch hunt in Salem and also Long Island's own witchcraft trial: the Trial of Goody Garlick. Goody it seems was accused of flying on poles and cavorting with the devil ran rampant in the colonies during the 17th century and led to hundreds of accusations of witchcraft. Join Tara Rider for this informative and interesting discussion. This program is open to teens and adults!

The talk begins at 7 p.m.
