Sunday marked the tenth anniversary of one of the most tragic events in our country's recent history. Sept. 11, 2001 changed the lives of many people in our area.

Included in the gallery are photos of the "Light the Night" event, flags on Middle Road planted by the Leo Club and personal house displays. One display at the Gianakas family house in Bayport showcased 560 hand-painted candle votives in the shape of an American flag and the Twin Towers.
