The Bari Koral Family Rock Band was featured last week at Family Fridays. They performed at The Common Ground to a packed crowd of local families looking for some fun, and free, entertainment.
Acclaimed singer/songwriter Bari Koral joined forces with some of the best players on the downtown New York City music scene to form the Bari Koral Family Band - rock songs for kids that parents enjoy as well. Koral is also a teacher of songwriting, yoga and kids yoga in the city. The band has three CDs, which were available for purchase at the event.
These Family Fridays events, which are sponsored by The Common Ground, are not just for the the kids – the parents enjoy them as well. There will be no Family Friday events for the next two week, with SummerFest set for this weekend and Margaritaville set for August 13. Family Friday events will resume on August 20 when the Airport Playhouse presents Rappin' with Mother Goose.
