Renoir, known as the Pope of Painting or Painter of Happiness, looked at the world optimistically. He is well known by his name but many people are unaware of the painful and debilitating rheumatoid arthritis that he had. This progressive disease did not change his positive view of life. Renoir only wanted to paint the happy, calm and loving times in our world. Join lecturer Emilia Baer as she shares his optimistic worldview through his wonderful paintings.
