Program Description: Sweetbriar Nature Center and naturalist Sue Krause are excited to present their Bird of Prey program at Brookside County Park. The Sweetbriar Nature Center is located in Smithtown and dedicated to rehabilitating Long Island's native wildlife. Animals deemed not releasable due to their injuries are ambassadors in our natural science education programs. Meet native raptors including: a Red-tail Hawk, Barn Owl, Eastern Screech Owl, and an American Kestrel. Learn about the adaptations of these incredible birds and how they became permanent residents at Sweetbriar Nature Center.
