Jazz Night at Sayville High School

Don’t miss the night everyone talks about – when the Manhattan Jazz scene comes to Sayville! 

This year’s Jazz Night features the Sayville High School Jazz Choir and Jazz Ensemble performing with two jazz giants, Rich Iacona and Madeline Kole.

Richard Iacona, Instructor of Music Theory, Jazz Piano, and the American Popular Song, is a full time professional pianist/arranger/ composer who has performed/arranged for and with artists such as: John Pizzarelli Jr., Clark Terry, Jerome Richardson,Urbie Green, Marilyn Michaels, Jonathan Tunick, Chuck Berry, Kate Baldwin, Gerry Niewood, Julius LaRosa, Charles Aznavour, Vic Damone, Liza Minnelli, Scott Record and many others. Mr.Iacona has just finished an engagement of San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel performing an all Cy Coleman show with Lillias White star of the musicals “Chicago” and “The Life.”

Madeline Kole is a vocalist and freelance jazz bassist performing throughout the N.Y.C. area as a full time professional musician since 1976. She is a “complete” musician and her vast vocal repertoire, and precise and poignant execution renders her a “singer supreme”. Ms. Kole has had the opportunity to appear and perform with the following artists; Bobby Short, George Benson, Robert Klein, Pat Cooper, the Modernaires, Julie Budd, Bobby Rydell, George Burns, Ann Hampton Calloway, Nancy La Mott and John Pizzarelli.
