"A Cornucopia of Art"

The Bell Street Artists will host an exhibit of their work each weekend in November beginning Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 12 to 4 PM.   Come meet the eight exhibitors at the Artists' Reception at the BAFFA Gallery on Sunday, November 7 from 2 to 4 PM.  This exhibit will showcase the various artists' works in sculpture, acrylic, scratch board, pastels, colored pencil, pen and ink and photogoraphy

Athough the members may change, the Bell Street Artists commitment to expanding their artistic horizons does not.  Founded in the early 1970's, the group has shown extensively on Long Island, including libraries, churches, community buildings and galleries.  The groups most recent exhibit was held at the Walt Whitman Birthplace in West Hills.

Meetings are held monthly at members' homes, where the group shares works in progress.  The Bell Street Artists awards scholarships to Bellport High School Senior Class Members who plan to continue their studies in art after high school graduation.  The scholarships are funded by a raffle of artwork at the artists' receptions.  Come view the exhibit, take part in the raffle, and perhaps take a home a piece of artwork.
