The classic rock band Easy Street played to a crowd Thursday night despite impending rains still lingering from Wednesday evening that forced the cancellation of the event. Young and old enjoyed tunes and the mosquitoes didn't seem to be a big issue even as the sunset and street lights came on.
The free concert is part of the Wednesday in the Park series taking place through the summer thanks to funding from Suffolk County, Islip Town and the Common Ground organization.
