Darlene Graham Serenades the Kids

Family Fridays event does not disappoint.

As part of the Summer Concert Series, Darlene Graham visited the Common Ground on Friday to the delight of Sayville's youngest generation.

Darlene and her husband Chris performed original songs and some childhood favorites, which got the kids on their feet. Family Fridays have become a favorite event in Sayville with some families turning the event into dinner and some music by bringing their pizza or sandwiches to the park.

The event, which was co-sponsored by the Islip Arts Council and the Town of Islip, had the kids dancing and singing for about an hour. The bubble portion of the show was a huge hit and the kids couldn't contain their excitement.

Graham grew up with the Celtic musical traditions of Newfoundland where she formed and toured in a Celtic trio called Le Ceile. She went on to star in many musical productions and acted in several commercials and televisions shows.

After the birth of their second child, Darlene and Chris started to write children's music and now share their original music with audiences all over Long Island. For more information, check out their website.
