The exhibit is a tribute to the nation's maritime museums and the preservation of maritime history.

The Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts has a unique exhibit at the BAFFA Gallery for one week only beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 14.

It is a tribute to the nation's maritime museums and the preservation of maritime history. It showcases the half hull models built by the members of the Carmans River Maritime Museum in Brookhaven, the raffle of a 22 ft. kayak built by the members, as well as the black and white maritime photography of Sandy Sievers and the scrimshaw of folk artists Joe Novak and Noel Gish.

The Artists' Reception will be held on Sunday, May 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. when the public is invited to meet the "crew", taste the grog and enjoy some vitals. Additional exhibit hours are Tues. Thurs. and Fri from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and again next weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
