Abracadabra at Sayville Marina Park

A free magic show sponsored by The Town of Islip entertains children in Sayville.

Kids and parents watched in awe as Amore performed his magic at Sayville Marina Park recently. He started his show with a different twist on his magic hat. He surprised the crowd by pulling a rubber chicken out of his hat instead of a rabbit. The children went wild and Amore kept this energy up the entire show.

Other tricks involved a raccoon puppet that squirted water, a magic banana and a newspaper cup that didn't leak when water was poured into it.

For every trick Amore would get the audience involved. The first lucky one to be picked out of the crowd was an 8-year-old boy that helped Amore turn a piece of tissue paper into a wizards hat. Other children that came on stage to assist had the change to do card tricks and go through a mirror.

One of the magician's best tricks was with a 7-year-old girl who did not know she had magic coins in her ears, nose, mouth, fingers and armpits. Everyone in the audience was surprised to find that they had magic coins in their fingertips when they threw coins into the container and made clinking noises.

For his finale, Amore did a trick with some of the adult volunteers from the audience. One woman came on stage and he put a sword through her neck, amazingly without one scratch on her.
