Young Sayville Sisters Aim to Help Pet Rescue Groups

The effort focuses on collecting items for donation to animal shelters, rescue groups.

Two Sayville sisters are running a collection effort Saturday to provide needed supplies and food for several local animal shelters and organizations.

Caitlin Adams, a sixth grader at Sayville Middle School and her sister Brianna, a second grader at Lincoln Avenue Elementary School, are hoping to provide the Islip Animal Shelter, the All the Way Home Animal Rescue and Lucky Paws Rescue groups with needed food, cat litter, blankets, sheets, water bowls and carriers.

Those wishing to donate to the effort can drop off donations between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 145 Marion Street in Sayville on November 10.
