Top 5 Places to Relieve Stress in Bayport-Blue Point

Don't let holiday stress get the best of you - check out the top five places to de-stress in Bayport and Blue Point.

The holidays can be stressful. Luckily enough, Patch has identified five places to relieve stress in Bayport and Blue Point. So, drop the wrapping paper and tape for a minute and make yourself a de-stress plan. 

1. What is better to relieve stress than a nice, long walk or jog? is home to an open-air track open for public use whenever it is not in use by students who are practicing for competition.  The track is open every day from 7 a.m. to sunset, year round.  School officials warn that the track is only for walking or running purposes and that roller skates and bicycles are not permitted. 

2. Living on the water has its benefits. South Shore residents find the beaches in Bayport and Blue Point to be a great place to get away from it all. On weekend mornings, cars can be seen lined up with people looking at the water while eating their bagels and drinking their coffees.

Bayport's PO Glen L Ciano Memorial Beach has a playground, gazebo and boardwalk to further relieve stress if a seat in the car does not do the trick.  

Blue Point's is also a haven for seekers of stress relief, though it does not have ample space for cars to view the Great South Bay.  However, Corey Beach is home to the Courtney Blakeslee-Cush Memorial Pavillion, which is the perfect place to reflect and de-stress with its picnic tables and beautiful views of the bay.

3. Quiet, peace and reflection are all components neccessary for stress relief.  Bayport's Never Forgotten: A Tribute to Those Touched by Cancer is a small fenced area for people to reflect about loved ones who have been affected by cancer.  It has three small stone seats and plants with a brick entryway.

4. For those like this writer, nothing relieves stress more than a cup of coffee and some downtime on the internet.  , located on Montauk Highway in Bayport has free wi-fi available to anyone.  Why not check Patch.com while you are there to make some evening plans? 

5. In need of some real attention or "you time?"  Visit at 579 Montauk Highway. The skin care lounge and nail bar offers reflexology, manicures, pedicures, air brush tanning, waxing, massage therapy and facials among other treatments.
