The Christmas Spirit and Trees at St. Ann's Church

St. Ann's annual Christmas tree sale marks the start of the holiday season.

A long standing Sayville holiday tradition is to buy a Christmas tree at on Middle Road. For the past 30 years, the church sets up a Christmas tree lot on their grounds. The Christmas tree sale is a fundraiser for St. Ann's and money goes to help various needs within the church.

With a steady flow of people coming to purchase Christmas trees, they always sell out in a few weeks. And how could they not with a perfect Christmas tree for everyone. They have 800 Douglas Firs and Fraser Firs trees, from table top size to over 10 feet tall. The sale is open every day 5 - 9 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Church members volunteer their time and effort to make the Christmas tree sale a success. Everyone on the lot has the spirit of Christmas and they happily help pick the tree, carry it to the car and tie it to the roof.
