Sights of Hurricane Sandy's Imminent Arrival

Stores are boarding up windows, bay waters flood local streets and gas lines are long.

Hurricane Sandy hasn't officially arrived but you wouldn't know that from driving through Sayville and Bayport mid Sunday afternoon.

Big stores have boarded up windows with spray paint signs noting they're still open. Sayville south streets, down by the ferries, and over on Sunset, are flooding already.

The gas lines at Hess in Bayport were impeding regular highway traffic.
