Sons & Daughters of Italy Share Cooking Secrets

Lodge #2442 donates newly published cookbook to Sayville Library.

Order Sons & Daughters of Italy in America Lodge #2442 has shared Italian heritage- and cooking- with its communities by donating a cookbook to Sayville Library.

The cookbook, For Love of Italian Cooking: A National Collection of Traditional Recipes from the Order Sons of Italy in America, was published by OSIA and contains many homemade Italian food recipes from members across the country. In its continued efforts to promote a positive image of all that Italians and Italian-Americans have contributed to society and daily life, Sgt. John Basilone and Lodge members decided to share these unique recipes with their community by donating copies.

Sgt. John Basilone donated the book on behalf of the order; the organization will donate copies to other libraries as well.
