Sayville Historical Society Celebrates The Past

Annual afternoon at the Edwards Farm event is a hit.

The Sayville Historical Society recently celebrated the 250 years of Sayville history since John Edwards arrived, 100 before the start of the Civil War, to the south shore of Long Island to found what would become the greater Sayville area.

John Edwards arrival was, this year, marked by the Society's annual afternoon at the Edwards Farm, which featured hands on activities including grinding corn, making ice cream and seed planting along with baby farm animals, spinning and weaving demonstrations as well as music by the Homegrown String Band.
