Sayville High School Senior Appointed to US Coast Guard Academy

Sayville Senior Kurt Caminske has accepted an appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy. He is one of only 20 applicants across the country who was offered an early appointment and was the first member of the Class of 2018 to sign his acceptance paperwork.
Caminske will report to the academy on June 30 2014, two days after his Sayville High School graduation.
While at the Academy, he will be a member of the prestigious Coast Guard Academy Glee Club and a member of the Lacrosse team which will make its Division III debut, Caminske's first season, starting in the Spring of 2015.
