Sayville Congregation, Pastor Nominated for Awards

Sayville Congregational United Church of Christ, Rev. Brinn cited for community contributions.

A Sayville pastor and church, as well as a local business, are nominated for several awards given by Outlook, a leading LGBT magazine.

The Sayville Congregational United Church of Christ and Pastor Rev. J. Gary Brinn are nominated in several categories.

The church community is being nominated for having the best event this year and in the category of best organization.

Rev. Brinn is a nominee for humanitarian of the year. A recent column he wrote on Patch, "Secrets a Pastor Can't Share in a Sermon" is the most read article on Patch and garnered 12,000 Facebook likes.

Fusion 84 in Sayville is a nominee for best business.
