Santa Claus Came to Town
St. Nick rides through Bayport on top of a Bayport Fire Department truck to celebrate the holiday season.
Santa Claus was escorted around town by the on Sunday. He made his way up and down every street to hand out candy canes to children who rushed outside to their front lawns to get a peek at St. Nick riding through the hamlet. Perched on top of a fire truck with sirens wailing, Santa Claus waved and gave some hearty "Ho, ho, ho's" over the truck's announcement system. It is a long standing tradition the Sunday before Christmas for Santa to team up with the fire department to spread some holiday cheer.
