There are tons of racoons and possums along the south shore, but they're rarely spotted in daylight hours. Patch caught site of one about 4 p.m. Sunday as it hobbled through a yard with an obvious injury to its back right leg.
It slowly limped across the yard, through a driveway and into a nearby wooded area. Let's hope it recuperates.
