Postcard Offers Up a Historical View of Sayville

A sweep of online sales by local residents unearths a unique postcard.

An eBay seller is offering up a glimpse of historical Sayville.

According to the posting, the postcard for sale depicts a view of Main Street from the west in 1918.

Hi Steve, I'm not sure as the sales description just said it was a view of Main Street from the west. But Main goes for awhile ;)

On the North side of Main Street, where the parking lot is, just West of the Masonic Lodge.

Look carefully at the card, you will note that Gerber's is on a corner, that is the present day corner of Smith Street and Main Street
