With weather forecasters predicting another 100 degree day, Patch took a ride from the docks at West Sayville to Corey Beach in Blue Point and it was very obvious from small crowds at town beaches and even Flo's, which is typically packed out at lunch, that most residents are opting for air conditioning today.
It was too hot for lemonade stands, though a few grandparents braved the heat in Sayville to take their grandsons fishing and crabbing. Corey Beach was not even at half normal capacity. The town guard at Sayville's Foster Beach said traffic had been slow and just a few families braving the heat.
