Oct. 11: Princeton Plan Forum at the High School Tonight

Local event information and Patch content preview for Tuesday, Oct. 11.

1. There will be a Board of Education forum in the auditorium this evening at 7:30 p.m. regarding the Princeton Plan, which the district is researching. The plan would affect those with children enrolled at any of the district's three elementary schools, and calls for each building to house only two grades instead of traditional kindergarten through grade five. Bayport-Blue Point School District encourages residents to participate in the forum to ensure they have all the correct information and to provide their input to the district. NOTE: This forum is being held in place of the Academy Street Board of Education Forum.

2. Head to for a technology class on Facebook and Social Websites at 7 p.m. Must obtain a strong working knowledge of the computer, an e-mail address and a Facebook account. Register using program code BPA415.
