West Babylon
A West Babylon man was arrested by Suffolk County Police after allegedly committing at least 10 burglaries over the past three months.
Suffolk County Police said Anthony Forgione, 28, of 155 Marcy Street, West Babylon, was arrested by detectives for burglarizing a neighboring home at 166 Marcy Street on July 30.
A further investigation connected Forgione to many other burglaries throughout the area, including those in West Babylon, Deer Park and West Islip from April through July.

Deer Park-North Babylon
For North Babylon residents looking forward to their own Starbucks in town, the wait will go on a bit longer. The newly constructed Starbucks at the corner of Deer Park Avenue and Woods Road "will now be opening in early fall," a Starbucks spokesperson told Patch Monday.

A 51-year-old Bellport man died late last Saturday night after his motorcycle crashed into another vehicle on Horseblock Road in Medford, Suffolk County Police said.

Patchogue
A 50-year-old Patchogue man was identified as the pedestrian killed in a Sunday morning car accident on E. Main Street in Patchogue, Suffolk County Police said.
Jose Mendoza was walking on Main Street, just east of Bay Avenue in Patchogue at 2:28 a.m., when he was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet driven by Matthew Weber, 23 of East Patchogue, police said.
