Two Playful Pups Up for Adoption

Brookhaven Animal Shelter's featured pets Cooper and Chanook are looking for a home.

Meet two featured pets up for adoption at Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center located at 300 Horseblock Road in Brookhaven. The shelter is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m; Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sunday, noon-4 p.m. For more information, call the shelter at 286-4940.

Meet Chanook

Chanook is a one-year-old male Siberian Husky who shelter staff say is beautiful on the inside as well as the outside, has a wonderful temperament and is true to the breed. The neutered pup loves to exercise and play, and is more than ready to go to a nice cozy home with a big backyard.

Meet Cooper

Cooper is a young, energetic mixed-breed dog who is "an absolute star in obedience class," according to shelter staff, who also say he would make an awesome agility dog. About 2-years-old, Cooper is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped; he loves people and gets along with most other animals. He's set to graduate obedience class shortly.
