May 18: Jazz Night, Spring Planter, Knitting

Prevent a mid-week energy slump: Check out a local event or activity happening Wednesday in Bayport-Blue Point. But first, make sure you're up on the latest budget news: Here are the  we posted Tuesday night.

1. Wednesday's Phantoms calendar:

2. Make a planter for spring at Bayport-Blue Point Public Library, 6:30 p.m. Join in on a fun class where you construct a spring planter.  All materials are included for a $5.00 fee. In-person registration is required before the date of the class.

3. It's Jazz Night at . Concert begins in the auditorium at 8 p.m.

4. Knitting and crocheting expert Joan Jewhurst will assist and advise participants of the Knitting and Crocheting Club at the library on current or contemplated projects as well as providing instruction to beginners. Beginners need to come with worsted weight yarn and a pair of #7 or #8 needles for knitters and size "H" hook for crocheters. Registration by phone, online or in-person is required. All welcome regardless of expertise.

5. Karaoke Night happens every Wednesday at 9 p.m. in Blue Point.
