Mark the Date: West Sayville Museum Hosting "Winter Sundays" Series

Seating is limited so those interested should register early.

The Long Island Maritime Museum, in West Sayville, will hosts a "Winter Sundays" series beginning February 9 through March 16, in the museum library from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The lecture series, offered free of charge, will include guest speakers covering a variety of maritime topics to include: Chronicling the region’s shellfish industry, America’s Naval War, and an environmental history of the barrier beaches of Fire Island.

Seating is limited and guests are encouraged to register in advance. For a complete listing of lecture topics, please visit the museum’s website. 

The Long Island Maritime Museum, which operates under a license agreement with Suffolk CountyParks, serves to preserve Long Island's maritime history and heritage for educational purposes.
