March 7: Teen Tech Week at Bayport-Blue Point Library

Part I of Mix and Mash @ Your Library is happening Monday, March 7 at Bayport-Blue Point Public Library. This event is part of a young adult program that encourages teens to use library resources to express creativity by developing their own unique online content and safely sharing it by using online collaborative tools. Below, Patch tells you what else is happening today in the area.

1. Teen Tech Week at the  Sunday March 6 through Saturday March 12, local kids have the chance to participate in Teen Tech Week 2011. This year's theme is Mix and Mash @ Your Library; event includes two hour-long workshops on Book Trailers and Music Mixes. Teen Tech Week is a national initiative for teens, librarians, educators and parents that highlights non-print resources at the library.

2. Love Mondays. Blue on Montauk Highway in Blue Point hosts its weekly Love Mondays event at 5 p.m. It offers 50 percent off all drinks and selections from its sushi lounge menu. DJ Loki will be spinning if you have an itch to dance and release some of that Monday stress.

3. It's Quiz Night again at the  in Blue Point. Go early to get a seat and participate in its Monday night ritual hosted by Angela at 7:30 p.m.

4. The  also offers $6 wings and $6 martinis all night as part of Martini Mondays. Happy hour is from 3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
