March 25: SEA-BBS Performing Arts Showcase, Fundraiser and Weekend Preview

Below, we tell you what's happening locally Friday, Saturday and Sunday and give readers a preview of this weekend's Patch content. Hopefully there's no more snow (please!) and the weather stays sunny for the first weekend of spring 2011.

1. Head to the Harbor Crab in Patchogue at 6 p.m. tonight to support a B-BP resident who is fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma. There will be 50/50 raffles; a $20 donation will be collected at the fundraiser.

2. This year's SEA-BBS Performing Arts Showcase takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the  auditorium. This showcase highlights the All District Band, Orchestra and Chorus. Scholarships and awards for music will be presented to students Elementary through High School. High School Award winners will be perform between the other groups. 

3. Bayport-Blue Point High School's varsity softball team will take on Connetquot at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Support the varsity girlslacrosse team at Patchogue-Medford High School at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

4. Look for the girls lacrosse preview and our PTA Planner later today on Bayport-Blue Point Patch.

5. Visit the site over the weekend for our weekly crime report, county notebook, town notebooks and cheapest gas prices.
