March 16: Phantoms Sports, Knitting, Burger and Beer Wednesdays

Each day, Bayport-Blue Point Patch provides readers with details behind the local events and other information on all things B-BP. What's on tap for Wednesday, March 16? We give you some of today's happenings below.

1. Come support the girls varsity lacrosse team at in their match against Middle Country High School at 3:30.

2. B-BP boys varsity tennis takes on Southhampton in this non-league contest at home at 4 p.m.

3. Get a burger and beer at for $10 every Wednesday. Begins at 5 p.m.

4. Knitting and Crocheting Club at , 7 p.m. Expert Joan Jewhurst will assist and advise patrons on current or contemplated projects, as well as providing instruction to beginners. Beginners need to come with worsted weight yarn and a pair of number 7 or 8 needles for knitters or size "H" hook for crocheters. Registration by phone, online or at the Reference desk is required. All welcome regardless of experience or expertise.

5.Karaoke Night happens at 9 p.m. every Wednesday at in Blue Point.
