July 25: First Official Day for Same-Sex Marriage Licenses

1. Patch will be at Islip Town Hall later this morning to catch all the excitement as same-sex couples apply for marriage licenses. July 25 is the first official day the marriage equality act takes effect. Couples must wait 24-hours after obtaining a license before they can wed.
