It's That Time: Kite Flying Madness at Maritime Museum
The annual event draws hundreds of children and families and will be held Sept. 22
The Long Island Maritime Museum’s fourth annual Kite Festival, which
incorporates a number of interactive, educational and family-friendly activities, has will be held Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the West Sayville museum.
A festival highlight is the Kite Construction Zone where children assemble and customize their own kites and then take them out on the grounds for some high-flying fun. The custom kite kits will be available for purchase for $6 or attendees are welcome to bring their own kites.
Admission is $2 per person and is complimentary for children ages 5 and under.
The museum is located at 88 West Avenue in West Sayville.
