Patch took a ride around Sayville and Bayport about 10 a.m. Monday morning. The wind was getting stronger, the Great South Bay is hitting land, downtown business district a ghost town.
Gas stations were open and there were no lines. But getting near the bay areas was nearly impossible in both communities.
