Holiday Boutique and Craft Fair Held at WSFD
Proceeds from event to benefit the Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
A holiday craft fair and boutique was held recently at the to benefit the . Attendees were also asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Greater Sayville Food Pantry.
Dozens of vendors showed off their handmade crafts, jewelry and baked goods. There was a custom embroidery booth where attendees could get their names customized on a variety of items. Barefoot Books was also on hand, offering some holiday book collections.
Residents from the Good Samaritan Hospital came to the event to show off their handmade items, including scarves, reindeer food and reindeer candy canes. The fair also included plenty of handmade jewelry, antique collectibles and sports memorabilia, candles and chocolates. Homemade Toostie Roll trees and candy-filled wreathes were the perfect holiday hostess gift.

There was a booth offering handmade organic soaps and Melissa of the Basket Boutique was showing off her wonderful holiday basket arrangements. Greg Filaseta, author of Be Yourself was on hand signing copies of his book. A few of the vendors claimed business was slow throughout the day, possibly due to the lack of advertising.
