1. Concert

Why Go: An afternoon of music ranging from operatic arias and classical music to Jazz, Broadway and popular standards, titled Concert at the Convent- From Brahms to Broadway. The first in  a series will feature Barbara Fusco- Spera with select students from the music department of CW Post. 

Pricing: $30 includes reception following concert.

 

2. A Tale of Two Villages

Where/When: ; Sunday, April 3, 2 p.m.

Why Go: Since Peter Mayle’s book: A Year in Provence became a bestseller in 1989, many people have dreamed about moving to a picturesque village in southern France, as he and his family did. David Bouchier and his wife, Diane, have lived in two different French villages in the region adjoining Provence: Languedoc. For ten years he contributed a regular humor column for the LI section of the SundayNew York Times, and has published fiction and non-fiction in many literary and political magazines. Currently, he is an award-winning essayist and commentator for National Public Radio.

Pricing: All welcome. A free event.

 

3. Grand Opening Exhibit

Where/When: Artspace, 20 Terry St, Patchogue. Friday, April 1, noon- 8 p.m.

Why Go: C2 Gallery moves to the new $20 million ArtSpace complex and opens with a dynamic trio of Photographers in this first exhibition kicking off this premiere location.

Pricing: Free

 

4. Performance at Patchogue Theatre

Where/When: , 71 E Main St, Patchogue. Sunday, April 3, 3 p.m.

Why Go: The Atlantic Wind Symphony performs music by European Composers.

Pricing: $15 / $12 students and seniors.

 

5. Play Festival 

Where/When: . Saturday, April 2, 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: See local students perform in a one-act play festival.

Pricing: Free.

 

6. Art Exhibit and Reception

Where/When: Bayport-Blue Point High School. Sunday, April 3, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.

Why Go:Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (BAFFA) art exhibit and reception.

Pricing: Free.
