  • This year’s Go 4th on the Bay fireworks will be hosted by the Town of Islip at the Bay Shore Marina. With the cancellation of the popular Jones Beach fireworks for the second consecutive year, these fireworks provide all Long Islanders a close and convenient place to go to see 4th of July fireworks from a beautiful marina park setting on the Great South Bay. This will be the Gruccis flagship fireworks program for all of Suffolk County which will be fired from a barge directly off the marina. Planned for the event is a Flyover of the entire Great South Bay by the Bayport Aerodrome Society’s Vintage Bi-Wing Planes, the US Army Team’s Salute to the National Anthem with the “Raising of the Colors”, and the state-of-the-art fireworks choreographed to patriotic music and simulcast by B103.

  • Great South Bay enthusiasts would probably agree the most spectacular view would be from the water. The Captree Boat’s cruise to Bay Shore is a romantic way to spend the evening- click here, then select “fireworks” for ticket information. On land, good viewing outside the marina would be from most of the Fire Island bay fronts and shorelines from Captree to Islip.

  • North Patchogue Fire Department is holding their carnival July 1-4, from noon-10 p.m. at , located at 95 N Service Rd, Patchogue. Head there for food and desserts, games, rides and fireworks by Grucci (on Saturday and Sunday night).
