Why Go: Ovations Dance Repertory Company presents Jungle Book Kids. Specially adapted from the beloved film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like "The Bare Necessities," and "I Wan'na Be Like You." With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, the Jungle Book KIDS is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for audiences of all ages.

Where/When: Brookhaven Town Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 300 Horseblock Road, Brookhaven. The shelter will be open Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from noon-4 p.m.

Why Go: For Free Love Weekend, Brookhaven Town Animal Shelter & Adoption Center will waive its usual adoption fee. There will be live music, giveaways, gifts for pets and refreshments during the event.

Why Go: This is a 4-mile Prediction Run, with a twist: Participants must finish the run with a teammate. Win by best predicting the time you cross the line together. Special Awards will be presented in the following categories: Best Costumed Duo, Husband/Wife, Parent/Child, Siblings, Any 2 Family Members, 2 Men, 2 Women, Mixed (1 man/1 woman).
