Few Reported Outages From Wind, Rain Storm
Local communities seem to have escaped stormy conditions that are causing havoc in several areas of Long Island.
The wind and rain storm system hitting Long Island isn't causing much damage on a local level, though about five homes in West Sayville are reporting a power loss.
According to the latest outage map provided by LIPA some areas of Suffolk and Nassau have been hit with big winds. As of 7:48 a.m, 34,075 households were without power.
