Feb. 25: Food and Drink Specials

With happy hour, other drink and meal specials, and an upcoming Patch article on new proposed legislation, Friday and the rest of the weekend shouldn't be too bland in Bayport-Blue Point. Below, we tell you what to expect on Bayport-Blue Point Patch today, and what deals are going on this weekend.

1. Did you know that Suffolk County Legislator Jon Cooper is calling for the placement of graphic images showing the impact of smoking on people in stores that sell cigarettes? Find out more about the proposed legislation on Patch later today.

2. Happy Hour at T runs from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Friday. Head down for "2fers" on Miller and Coors Light drafts, $5 wine and $1 off mixed drinks and bottled beer.

3. recently introduced their newest drink, "The Fish Bowl." This monster alcoholic beverage consists of more than 15 shots for $25. They didn't forget the most important part though: the concoction is garnished with swedish fish candies. If you're a pool shark, enjoy a game at this venue, which boasts more than 20 pool tables.

4. Friday night starting at 5 p.m.,  begins serving the evening special, the Seafood Marinara Platter. This feast includes clams, mussels, scallops and
shrimp over linguini with garlic bread for $15.99. On Sunday, the restaurant has another great deal for those who can't have enough of a good thing: 2-for-1 wings all day.

5. Experience Grey Horse Tavern's take on the traditional at their Sunday Supper, offering patrons family-style meals for $18.69, based on the year in which GHT’s historic building was established. The food, which changes weekly, is reminiscent of what one would imagine a classic Sunday supper to consist of.
