3. Read with Callie, "The Reading Dog." Though this event is not scheduled until March 1, which is one week from today,  staff suggest that program hopefuls should sign up for appointments now at the Children's Reference Desk. Signing up early will give those interested the best chance of securing the time slot they want. This new reading dog will take 30-minute appointments with readers in first through fifth grade. Callie received her Pet Partner certification through the Delta Society and is now eligible to serve as a Reading Dog.

4. Registration procedures for children's programs at the library are changing in March. Online registration from children's programs begins on Saturday, March 5 at 11 a.m. and ends Wednesday, March 9 at 9 p.m. Any remaining program vacancies and waiting lists will be filled by phone and in library registration only. All children must have their own library card and a password. Do not register your children with an adult card. Beginning with the March/April newsletter, children registered with an adult card will be deleted. Visit the library website for more details.
