Feb. 18: Happy Hour, PAL Recognition and BCA Meeting Recap

A list of happenings in and around Bayport-Blue Point.

Each day, Bayort-Blue Point Patch brings you a list of events happening in the area. Friday, Feb. 18, B-BP kicks off the weekend with several activities.

1. At 5 p.m.  begins taking orders for their Friday special: Seafood Marinara Platter, including clams, mussels, scallops and shrimp over linguini with garlic bread for $15.99. It's Happy Hour at 3 p.m.-7p.m. Special prices include 2fers on Miller & Coors Light drafts, $5 wine, and $1 -off mixed drinks and bottled beer.

2. B-BP's PAL football program was recently recognized for stellar sportsmanship. We'll give you details on the honor later this morning. Look for the article on Patch.

3. New Islip Town Planning Commissioner Dave Genaway shed some light on the problematic zoning situations near Sunrise Highway in Bayport on Tuesday night at the  meeting. Find out what Genaway and the BCA discussed in an article this afternoon.

4. Saturday: Yoga for beginners is being held at the  from 10 a.m. every Saturday. A $10 registration fee is collected for the class and registration is suggested.
