Feb. 10: Travel to "Brigadoon" with B-BP Thespians

Thursday, Feb. 10 is a busy one for Bayport-Blue Point. Below, we've provided readers with information on events and happenings in the area that we think you should know about.

1. The Music Department presents Brigadoon, a musical about an enchanted place.  Feb. 10, 11, 12, 7:30 p.m. For the full plot summary, click here.

2. At 10 a.m. it's time for Arthritis Foundation Senior Flex class offered at the  throughout January, February and March. The exercises that participants will learn are especially designed for the less agile and are beneficial to those with arthritis. A fee of $10 is due at in-person registration.

3. NYSPTA Suffolk County Outreach will deliver an informational presentation on starting a Special Education PTA in Bayport-Blue Point. The meeting will take place in the  Library from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

4. The Islip Town Planning Board will begin their meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Islip Town Hall board room, 655 Main St, Islip. 

5. Start your weekend early at Blue Point's "neighborhood restaurant and pub," . They begin taking orders for their Thursday night prime rib special at 5 p.m. At 9 p.m. make your way to the for Open Mic Night with Tom Groney. Head down to  at 5 p.m. on Thursdays for Pasta Night. All specials include a pasta, sauce and fish outlined on their menu.
